RU’s release in Canada met with acclaim

We’re not saying it, they are!

After a very warm welcome across Quebec in December, with a near 2 millions dollars in box-office, the film RU crossed the language frontier, was released in the rest of Canada, and was equally well received. To quote the Toronto CityNews, “It’s an incredibly beautiful film about resilience and survival and a truly uplifting watch.”

“Alongside a beautifully minimalist score by Michel Corriveau that highlights the emotion underneath the surface, this film is simultaneously a painful and hopeful watch.”

On the occasion of the film’s release, Michel Corriveau and his label, The Agogolab, have decided to make available on all music platforms a musical piece from the original soundtrack. « RU » (single) is available everywhere, starting now. The rest of the soundtrack, which has received nothing but positive feedback since the film’s release, will follow in December.

Michel composes the music of a new European television series “Hidden Assets”

You can see and listen to the opening credits music HERE

The article ( in French ) is taken from the Grenier, editions of November, 2021

Double win at the Gémeaux awards!

The hard work, talent as well as the Corriveau signature were twice recognized last Friday at the Gémeaux night of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
Best Theme in all categories for “True North” (Les Pays d’en Haut)
Best Original Music, also for “True North”, awarded in tandem with Jérémie Corriveau who participated in the composition of the sixth and final season.

Les Pays d’en Haut: Original Soundtrack is now available!

Michel Corriveau has selected, in collaboration with Jérémie Corriveau (Producer, co-imaginator of the OST and son of the composer), the 23 best tracks from the 6 seasons. They made this selection in order to offer all music lovers as well as fans of the show, which was broadcast on Radio-Canada TV, a unique experience that will plunge them directly into the heart of this magnificent television series.
